Problem with attribute pricing when product on special

Hi everyone.

This is the senario

Product - 100 pk of 50mm x 50mt Packing tape. Normal price $100
Attributes - Plain
Overprint Company details +$40
Overprint Fragile +$25

Problem we have

When we place the product on special at 10% it shows

Starting at $90
and the attributes at $36 and $22.50.

All okay till this stage.

Then the wacky weed kicks in

Add say 1 pack with the company overprint on it and the pricing reverts to the base price + the discounted attribute.

So while the plan was to have it work out base price -10% plus attribute -10% the end result is base price plus attribute -10%

Any ideas why?
