Help with shipping.

I can not get this to work at all, I have tried all the different shipping modules.

my shipping is on orders up to 99.99 shipping is 10 bucks, on orders of 100 or more shipping is 10% of the total cost of order, plus there is a 5 dollar handling charge when I tried to set that up, it would only show the handling fee and nothing else. wouldnt add the shipping cost. so I dont know what to do can any one help me thats all thats holding me back, for my site to go live.

I have something similar on an older cart

I am using the "Zone Rates" module that comes with Zen cart

When you have it installed

set you Zone 1 country code

then in the "Zone 1 Shipping Table"
enter something like the following

99.99:10.00,10000:00.00

which basically means on all orders 99.99 and below the shipping charge will be $10 and all those orders that cost more will have free shipping

There should be another box to add in your handling charge of $5 (note this will be applied to all orders)

Unfortunatly Zen Cart doesn't come standard with the ability to choose a percentage of the total price to determine shipping charges, so you would have to determine stages to change the charge at: 99.99:10,149.99:15,199.99:19... something like that.

I however seen once before somewhere in the downloads section a mod ( Table Rate -- Add Percentage ) that allowed you to charge by percentage.

If that doesn't do the trick you could probably find someone to build a mod for you if you have to have this feature place an ad in the "Commercial Help Wanted" section of the forum -- http://www.zen-cart.com/forum...

I have not used that shipping mod, so I have no idea if it actually works... be sure to back up your site and database before attempting to install that (or any other) mod!

Actually, the current release of Zen Cart does have available a percentage on the last setting for both Zone Rate and Table Rate shipping modules ...

If you do not see the reference to it ... save your settings to NotePad, REMOVE and INSTALL and reconfigure ...
