    1. I installed Module Manager.

    2. Configured the configure.php. But had a question. When defining the 'DIR_WS_CATALOG' entry, what are you referring to as the "subfolder". The entries for the HTTP_SEVER and the HTTPS_SERVER is correct (no sub folders).

    **I didn't change the DIR_WS_CATALOG directory? Not sure there.

    3. Installed the files and seems to be loaded on correctly. I can go into the backend and change the URL.

    **Should I be using the whole URL that is shown for that product and then adding the whole URL to what I want it to display. htttp://site.com/ajsdklf&laj and change it to http://site.com/widgets/ ?

    4. Changed the .htaccess file to what was instructed to change in the install settings. There was no .htaccess file on the GoDaddy server, so I created one.

    5. Made sure the cache/SSU folder on the server is set to 777.

    6. Make sure both configure.php files have the same directory. They both have /home/content/p/r/e/premium09/html/cache.

    7. Did change the RewriteBase /zencart/ in the .htaccess file to RewriteBase /

    I do have the ZC site in the top level.

    Any insight would be great. Thank you.

    Same for the change in language parser, did you clear the cache?

    Make sure you choose to clear ALL cache.
    yelloow ... plz help me i tried to reinstall ZC and get on here only module manager and SSU 3.6.4 and ZC localization - Czech.

    I had set cz.php like this

    Code:
    <?php
          // note: we can later move part of this function into sub-functions, which we can store in the base class.
        class SSULanguageCz extends SSULanguage{
            static function parseName($name){
                $cyrillic = array("á", "č", "ď", "é", "ě", "í", "ň", "ó", "ř", "š", "ť", "ú", "ů", "ý", "ž");

                $translit = array("a", "c", "d", "e", "e", "i", "n", "o", "r", "s", "t", "u", "u", "y", "z");

                $name = str_replace($cyrillic, $translit, $name);

                $name = strtolower($name);

                // we replace any non alpha numeric characters by the name delimiter
                $name = self::removeNonAlphaNumeric($name, SSUConfig::registry('delimiters', 'name'));

                // Remove short words first
                $name = self::removeShortWords($name, SSUConfig::registry('configs', 'minimum_word_length'), SSUConfig::registry('delimiters', 'name'));

                // trim the sentence
                $name = self::trimLongName($name);

                // remove excess SSUConfig::registry('delimiters', 'name')
                $name = self::removeDelimiter($name);

                // remove identifiers
                $name = self::removeIdentifiers($name);

                // remove trailing _
                $name = trim($name, SSUConfig::registry('delimiters', 'name'));

                return urlencode($name);
            }
        }

    ?>
    and local.config.php like this
    Code:
    <?php $ssuLocalConfig = array(
    'plugins'        =>    array('parsers'    =>    array('manufacturers')),
        'identifiers'    =>    array('mf'    =>    'manufacturers'),
        'languages' => array( 'cz' => 'cz'))
    ?>
    and now it may look like that
    http://www.domain.com/pocitace

    now it doesnt make ( - ) instead character conversion but link looks like that :
    http://www.thecomp.cz/po%26%23269%3B%EDta%26%23269%3Be

    Is there any solution for that ?

    I suspect there can be a problem when you transfer the edited file from your computer to the server, sometimes if the ftp method is not set correctly (i think binary is needed in this case), then you may get that problem.

    When I work on these language files, I always use utf8 btw.

    Sure. There is more info at post #2511 up top.

    It looks like the install went ok, but when I go into Extras>SSU, and change the Alias Functions it does not change the crap URL to the new one?

    I put the whole URL in www.site.com/jlkasduf7adyp& and changed it to www.site.com/brochures/ and it does nothing. I only have one category and product set up right now for testing. Maybe it has something to do with that? http://cleveland-print.com/

    Thanks

    You can not put the whole url in, it just doesnt work like that. Did you check this:
    http://public.rubikintegration.com/t.../ssu_alias.htm

    The manager has been changed, but the whole process remains the same.

    I dont know why you get the older version when the installation note already points directly to the new version?
    I have, Beta 3.6.4. There is only Beta 3.6.4, and 2.9.6 listed.

    Hi there Yellow1912 and others.

    First off, cheers for this mod, I've been using a version of it on my live shop for a few months now and it's been working great.

    However, I'm now trying to set up a new shop on my local machine and I've been having a few issues. First off I followed the instructions and transferred the files to my zencart - using the htaccess file and remembering to change the RewriteBase to /babyclothes/ (where my store is obviously). That resulted in a 500 error which, after hoking through this thread I found was because my xampplite doesn't have mod_rewrite turned on by default, so I followed http://rudyegenias.wordpress.com/200...rite-in-xampp/ to turn it on.

    Now the problem when I try to access my admin I get:

    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
    If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

    I've searched but can't find out what I'm doing wrong. I don't remember having any problems at all the last time I installed on a live site and I'm sure it's something stupid (I am indeed stupid) but any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been messing around with this for hours.

    heres my htaccess
    #### BOF SSU
    Options +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews
    RewriteEngine On
    # Make sure to change "test_site" to the subfolder you install ZC. If you use root folder, change to: RewriteBase /
    RewriteBase /babyclothes/

    # Deny access from .htaccess
    RewriteRule ^\.htaccess$ - [F]

    RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php?/$1 [E=VAR1:$1,QSA,L]
    #### EOF SSU
    And my configure.php
    <?php

    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]

    I can assure you this error has nothing to do with SSU. Perhaps during the process to turn on mod_rewrite you have somehow made mysql server unable to run.

    Try to restart it, can you access it normally via phpmyadmin? If yes, check and see if the db login info in includes/configure.php is correct.
