Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi, my store is on version 1.3.9H and is www.dars-parts.co.uk

I would like to install a URL rewriter to my site.

Have attempted Simple SEO URL, but I am fairly sure I haven't done it correctly.

I am not sure whether it is good forum etiquette, to append my new query onto a thread like this, but I really am in need of some guidance on installation.

If anyone has completed an installation of SSU and is successfulyy getting it to rewrite their urls, I would be very grateful if they can tell me very simply what I'm doing wrong or not doing to get it working.

Update to version 3.8.8 Your cache will not be half as big and with some bug fixes as well.
You can get 3.8.8 from here

You will need to update Module Manager to it's latest version if you haven't done that yet. On the new version of Simple Seo 3.8.8 the old Module Manger will not work.

Then read and follow the ssu installation
You should be fine after that.

Downloaded and installed Simple SEO URL 3.8.5

1. Installed everything properly I think..
2. A. Didn't have a .htaccess file so just cp given into place.


We're "NOT using Zencart 1.3.8a" so replaced includes/functions/html_output.php with the saved version. That could have been mentioned earlier...
edited the includes/functions/html_output.php at the function zen_href_link.


Checked path/to/cache is properly set in admin/includes/configure.php and includes/configure.php

Set path/to/cache/ chmod -R 777 ssu

There are no subfolders present, just a .htaccess file.
Is that a clue?

Goto admin > tools > Module Manager:

List all modules:

Goto admin > extras > Simple SEO URL Manager:

Goto http://www.store.com/ssu_check.php
