Hi guys!
Here's my first post here and I need help. I got my new webshop up online as a beta and 300 of the 600 products in the db so far. I was changing many settings in the admin GUI to get the shop the way I wanted, with payment, shipping etc. and all of a sudden these characters appeared in the top corner of the background:
...when browsing my shop with Firefox. Those characters also appeares in the background of new pop-up windows (like pics etc.). In Firefox the encoding works so I can see western iso (swedish characters, yep I'm swedish). But when I watch the shop in IE, those characters are gone and the site is viewed in UTF-8 and all the characters are wrong with ASCII-characters on various places etc. And, in IE I can't change the encoding in the browser when watching the shop. It's locked somehow.
The source on the main page has this in the beginning of the file:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC
I think it was something i did in the GUI but I have tried to find this bug for over 20 hours. I'm not a PHP/-Java-programmer but I've been using HTML on and off for like 15 years so I know that pretty good...
Please please, can anyone help me? The shop needs to OPEN as soon as possible and I have no idea what to do anymore. I have searched through all Zen Cart-files for these characters without finding them and also files with the DOCTYPE without any results...
