    Default required password still causing problems

    the password required by zen cart is still causing random problems and preventing sales. i just had another customer contact me because he tried to log into his account but can't.

    1) first it says his password is incorrect...

    2) then when he tries to use the forgot password function, it says his email is not in the database.

    i have looked up his account. he has ordered before and his email is there. this is not the first time this has happened.

    how can i set a new temp password for him to use...

    or get the cart to recognize that he is in there and so is his email address...

    or even better get rid of the password requirement all together? Is there anyway to not require the password without using a mod???

    Not at this time.

    What are your settings in the Admin> Configuration> Sessions
    Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

    Session Directory/cache
    Cookie Domain-True
    Force Cookie Use-False
    Check SSL Session ID-False
    Check User Agent-False
    Check IP Address-False
    Prevent Spider Sessions-True
    Recreate Session-True
    IP to Host Conversion Status-true
