UK Postcode Lookup

Here is a guide on how to add UK Postcode lookup to your Zen Cart,

I hope that you find this usefull, also includes a pre-edited file to save you the hassle of adding in the code.

I had been wanting to add such a lookup to Zen Cart for a while but never got the chance to sit down and work it out, today i have done that and thought i would share it with you all.

Hi

This Postcode lookup tool is great

But i have one problem

How do i get the postcode lookup tool on the checkout page where you can change your shipping address and on the address book page where you add a new address book entry.

THANKS FORS SHARING THIS THING WAS EASY TO INSTALL AND WORKS BRILLIANTLY.
But i do have a question...
I cant work out if i have to pay for this service?
It seems to work correctly and i havent paid or given my bank details to the postcodefinder website.
Anyone know how this works???

Yes this is a paid for service. You buy credits which are then depleted with each lookup. However, they give you some credits up front to test your installation, so maybe you're living on those.

That's good to know it is working with the latest release 1.3.9,

From your posts it looks like you are from postcodeanywhere, but in your first post you said you were looking to put it into your zencart install. Are you from pca? If you are its a good service and you have done well with the integration ability of your service. Last time I looked the addon had over 1k downloads, I'm sure you have picked up some customers along the way from zc.

If your just using it on your site you can't go wrong it works very well,

Quick note to people interested in this functionality, but concerned about the costs.

A cheaper alternative but based on the same Royal Mail PAF data: www.craftyclicks.co.uk.

Hiya All

Sorry to drag up an old post but ive downloaded module today to get it working on my site but ive noticed it only has create account file.

Did anyone have any look adding functionality to the address and shipping page aswell?

Im going to be using Postcode Anywhere if i can get those two pages amended becuase i have another software package that works with PCA and it makes sense to use the same package :)

If not off to craftyclicks i go as i believe they DO all 3 pages
