You may find that the more contemporary CKEditor is a better choice anyway: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1626

I've installed FCKeditor 2.6.4.1 on my new 1.3.9c zen cart, and it works well when I add product description, however, when I edit that product again, it shows the HTML code in the text box, and the FCKeditor icons are there!! anything wrong with FCK? and then I change to use CKeditor or TinyMCE to edit product desc, they show correctly, except FCK.
help please!!!!![]()
I don't think that they'll be much appetite to investigate the problems associated with installing an out-of-date and difficult to integrate editor on the latest versions of Zen Cart, when the editor that has superseded it (CKEditor) is heaps better and works on those versions without problem.

The only thing with the CK editor you dont get a source button to allow for code to be placed in the descriptions etc... so youtube vids cant be placed etc.
Whats the best editor now that FCK is not available as it wont work in php5.3 and 1.3.9d
Not sure I understand any of this. My CKEditor has the source button top left. On the rare occasions that I use an HTML editor, I usually check the code with that.
That said I'm not aware of any specific reason which FCKEditor wouldn't work on a clean install of Zen Cart or with PHP 5.3, but there are mods which core files and impede it - OzPost has been cited above.
But CKEditor is just soo much better. Not least in the look and speed, but more importantly in the quality of the HTML that it generates.
