I like giving my clients the image and file upload function... all of them use it. I hope someone fix's the fckeditor sometime in the future.

I doubt that will happen as CKEditor is the successor to FCKEditor.. From the CKEditor website:

Not sure I understand any of this. My CKEditor has the source button top left. On the rare occasions that I use an HTML editor, I usually check the code with that.

That said I'm not aware of any specific reason which FCKEditor wouldn't work on a clean install of Zen Cart or with PHP 5.3, but there are mods which core files and impede it - OzPost has been cited above.

But CKEditor is just soo much better. Not least in the look and speed, but more importantly in the quality of the HTML that it generates.

Does anyone have any info in regard to the latest version CKEditor working on ZC ver 1.38?

I also am having the problem of a serious conflict with my FCKeditor and the OZ post new version module.

I have read here upgrading the FCK to the latest/last supported version does not fix the problem of garbled code where there was once WYSIWYG in the product description page.

Will CKEditor fix this annoying problem.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you have had a problem with your FCKeditor after installing the latest OZ post module, see below:

I uploaded the latest version of CKEditor and all problems from FCKEditor were fixed. On ZC version 1.38a.

I agree this is essential. You can enable it ckeditor

In /ckeditor/plugins/image/dialogs/image.js find this "id:'Upload',hidden:true"

change it to "id:'Upload',hidden:false"

the upload button appears.

However i dont think the ck zen cart addon has been configured to use it....so you will get an internal server error.

I am using FCK editor addon because it has these features which make it much better then the ck addon at this time.

just a comment: I am using v1.3.9d today and FCKeditor seems to be fine on the item editor but problem remains in the /admin/ezpages.php; I did a file comparison and found it was ok to replace this file with the 1.3.8a /admin/ezpages.php and this fixed the problem.

Maybe zencart have fixed the problem with FCKeditor in the latest version, I will see when I use it.

I'm using CKEditor v3.4 and have recently updated my store to v1.3.9g. CKE worked perfectly with my previous 1.3.9f ZC version... but now It's giving me some issues: When I edit a page via admin>tools>define pages editor>*chosen page here* the editor works as expected (as it did in 1.3.9f) I then click update, go to the page I just edited on my site for instance /index.php?main_page=contact_us - the page appears as the pure html - see screenshot attached.
