I'm starting to feel really retarded but if I'm not mistaken what you're telling me is that there is no solution?

I tried to remove the .htaccess file as well as a number of other things but nothing has stopped the issue reported in #59.

It does work in IE7 but not Firefox or Safari.

Then I'm not sure what the issue could be.. Removing the .htaccess file as kuroi posted SHOULD correct the issue. Just to be CLEAR the file should be the .htaccess file located in editors/fckeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default

Strange. Would I need to change the .html files to .php if I took away the .htaccess? I thought the .htaccess was allowing the .html files to run php code so wouldn't I need to change something else to replace the function? I kind of already tried change .html to .php but I think it screwed up referrals or something like that so again it didn't work.

    Thanks

I made no other such change.. I simply followed kuroi's suggestion that the additional securities included in the add-ons .htaccess might have been the cause of the issue. Once I removed the file, the "browse" error stopped..

Awesome! I just re-uploaded everything and deleted the .htaccess file and it works great now! Too bad I have to compromise security but the clients always prefer that things work they way they're supposed to over security...

I set the entire /images folder to chmod 777 for a short while to see if it had any effect, but it still couldnt see it.

You read and follow the instructions provided when you download FCKeditor. If you run into any problems with the install then you ask your questions here. If the instructions don't make any sense to you (or you can't find them) then you will probably want to hire a developer familiar with Zen Cart (I'm sure many of the other posters here could help you there).

    Hope that helps!

    Hi,

I run Zen Cart on my PC (local server). Just installed FCKeditor.
If I select FCKeditor, I'll get the following error msg when trying to edit a category/product:

    "Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error. If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 404"

When I click the "referring page", another msg displayed:
"Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /store/admin/categories.php?cPath=6&cID=7&action=edit_category on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.0.54 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.0.54 OpenSSL/0.9.8 PHP/5.0.5 mod_autoindex_color Server at example.com Port 80"
    Please help.

Thanks for the creators for making it available for free! Worked like a whiz first shot on my ZC 1.3.7.1!!

Quick question: Where should i tweak to make the editing area taller in the Category Editor?

    Hi Gabstero,

How can you get your fckeditor works?
I post my problem on 3rd Oct, but got no answer. I re-install it. Now I even can't see it in the admin console.
    I install it in public_html/fckeditor.
    I tried public_html/store/fckeditor
    I tried public_html/store/editors/fckeditor.
    None works.
    Where did you install it?

    Please help.

    Len
