FCKeditor Plugin 2.5

Thank you kuroi. So what do you suggest I use at this point? I have tried to install the latest CK but when I go to edit a page I still show HTMLpage even though I have selected CKeditor. I have also logged out of session to make sure that was cleared.

We install CKEditor for all of our clients, and haven't experienced any problems with it. Not sure what you mean when you say that it causes an HTML page to be shown. Did you mean that HTMLarea is being loaded instead of CKEditor. Is so, I'm afraid that's not an issue we've seen, so not much I can recommend.

FORGET IT, I got CKEditor working. I sure do wish I could upload images there.

Very technical little issue here. I installed this (2.6.4.1) into a cart because of the crappiness of htmlarea and the direction that zen cart is heading in by touting this particular editor. I'm new to it but have worked extensively with another editor so I have a clue but I have a problem with fckeditor.

It automatically puts   in a an empty paragraph tag (and probably in other places as well. If you remove the space symbol, it puts it back in. I know this is buried inside the editor code somewhere but my first dip in didn't find it. Does anyone know where this bit of idiocy is so I can stop it?

Firstly a correction. Zen Cart is certainly not advocating the use of this editor. Quite the opposite, all support for it has been removed from version 1.5.

On the specific issue, it's one for which you'd need to get support from the FCKEditor forum, though as they're no longer supporting it either, it might be better to simply switch to its successor CKEditor, which produces much better markup.

Is there any reason in the world that you cannot upload images from the newer ckeditor??? I have never heard of this anywhere else.

Is there a setting I am missing?

I am considering installing FCKEditor v2.6.4.1. The readme file says it is compatible with ZenCart 1.3.x, but makes no mention of 1.5. Does it work with 1.5?
