    Default Editing the Default Template

I've recently created an 'arrowhead' directory and placed it everywheere there was a classic directory and then copied the contents of the classsic directiories into the 'arrowhead' folders so i could mess with things without screwing with my default template. i also edited the header jpeg on the main page. but now when i load the website on localhost, everything works except the left sidebar (i disabled the right in the admin console) is not visible on any of the pages. any ideas?
