Default Zen Carts Jam integration file Problem?

I recently started a thread to get help finding an affiliate program that works with Paypal/Zen Cart and was directed to JAM..

After the installation I tried integrating JAM to Zen Cart via their online instructions which came WITH a Zen Cart created download file, zencart_footer_override.zip - Size: 2397

Unfortunately, it is not very clear where this file is suppose to be set. I've tried it in my JAM directory as instructed and in my Zen Cart directory as instructed. (Under both "Classic" and "Template_Default")

Neither show any changes when I visite my site and browse the footer. Have I done something wrong?

ps. The only reason I'm posting this on Zen Carts forums is because the file was created by you.

You would normally not "see" any changes to the footer unless you're looking at browser source ... in which case you should see the script and/or img tags that send data to your JAM application.

Also, you'll only see the JAM code at the end of checkout, on the checkout_success page.

If you've uploaded the code changes as instructed but are not seeing the changes, then it suggests that you're either expecting it on pages other than checkout_success, or you didn't create a new checkout_success folder to store the revised tpl_footer.php file as the instructions recommended.
ie: if your active template is "classic", then you would put the new file here:
    /includes/templates/classic/checkout_success/tpl_footer.php

    Thank for the reply!

I think I was getting ahead of myself thinking that the integration would give some type of link for my affiliates to sign up. I suppose all of that would belong to JAM.

Last but not least, I really like Zen Cart and made a donation the other day. Is there any other way I can show my appreciation? (I'm not much of a php writer so I dont think creating modules would be a good idea lol)

    Thanks.
Buying the Zen Cart user's guide book or by signing up for services offered by any of the "partners" or "hosting" providers (see links at the top of this page) also help support the Zen Cart project.

Once you have developed a familiarity with Zen Cart, accurately answering questions posed by others is another way you can help the community.

    Regular scheduled donations help too
