Default Two folder on Webserver: httpdocs and httpsdocs

I'm sure this has been addressed but i couldn't find a real answer.

Ok so i'm installing zencart for the first time. My webhost has two folders httpdocs and httpsdocs. Now do i have install zencart on both these folders. If so do i just do the install and then copy it over to the other folder.

The other question is what happens when i want to update the catalog with a new product, will have to do this twice. Sorry again for the trouble. Any help would be great. I'm not going to do anything until i get some feedback.

Or if you guys have tips that would be great as well.

You'll save yourself all those headaches if you can get your hosting company to "symlink" the httpsdocs folder to point to the httpdocs folder ... instead of being separate folders.

If you don't, you'll have to do double work, as you mentioned.

Or, choose a hosting company who already serves their SSL content from the same folder as the NON-SSL content (most cPanel hosts can do this natively).

Thanks. I'm currently finding out if my hosting company can do this or come up with a better solution as i don't really want to maintain two folders. Thanks again.

If you are you using Plesk, then click on "Setup" and then check the two boxex: Enable SSL & Use a single directory for housing SSL and non-SSL content.

    That should solve your problem!!
