HELP! spammers are using my email address

Hi there i just recieved an email from [email protected] the email is an advertisement from pitchran.com (spammers site do not go there) My question is how are they sending an email from my site when they do not have access to the backend ? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running 1.2.4.1 db patched to 1.2.4

and yes im updating on a test server as i type. Is this the issue and is there a quick fix to prevent this till i can role the new site out?

Could be just from your mail server and no Zen Cart involveent at all...
Talk to your host, check your account logs etc.

which loggs should i be looking at raw access? if so whats the best way to view these? My host uses cpanel. I could really do with a few tips from some vets here on what to do and where to start.

which of the above email addresses should i be concentrating on?? and what would your next step be?

In cPanel look for logs and awstats among others has this info that will not be ZenCart access
