Default Fluid Tables & EZ Pages

    Hello,

I want to utilize tables, but i do not want them to overide the actual page size on different screens or resolutions......I want images in certain places, put text over, above, beside and have control of where everything falls.....

Should i just optimize for 800px, or is there some type of fluid table type layout i can use?

Furthermore....Can i use a stylesheet to call up all of my custom EZ pages?

You can achieve pretty much any layout you can imagine without tables...
Table layout is a dying skill, and you would be better off learning CSS layout if you are not already skilled with tables.

I don't understand your ez-pages question. What do you want to have happen and when?

YEs, i need to learn css layout apparently, but havent found how to do so, ill research... I noticed my HTML type tables are messing with the size of the site, and do not make it fluid in size.

Well, i think im asking wrong when i asked the question about the ez pages, nevermind i think i got my answer....

    Occasionally, table is needed:

    1. The product listing in the shopping cart page can be done much easier using table.

    2. When you have more than 1 column on your site, and say you want to fill each one with a background color, and make sure they fill all the way down to the end, it's much easier to do with table.

I'm not a CSS expert, of course. But I believe that while we should try to avoid excessive use of table layout, there is no need to avoid it in cases that using table is much easier.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

You can get a good start on the elements of CSS at www.w3schools.com. There are many other sites with good information, too - I'm sure other people have their favorites. I like w3schools' interactive examples, where you can test code live on their site and see what different things do.

You are quite right, there are some things like filling the columns to the bottom that are much easier using tables, and places where tables are actually meaningful for layout like the product listing (in the stock layout style). (For some other layouts, tables are a hindrance to easy styling.)
