    Default Video On Demand Solved!

No sooner than I post my desire to find a way to add Video on Demand (streaming video) to my clients shopping cart in another posting and what I had been playing with to get it to work, did I figure it out about an hour later! WooHoo!

Basically what I did was create a HTML page in the download directory with the SWF and FLV file in the that same directory for the HTML file. I also created the player frame on the HTML page using a program called Wimpy Wasp ($49) you can download from the Internet. Used their customization tool to determine my path, player size and more! Once loaded - presto it worked.

I was also able to set the number of views and how many days the page can be viewed without any file downloads to the end user, all through the Attributes Controller. Really cool!

Give it a try and let me know how you make out! :)

    Hi,

I am also looking for a way to have a stream video on my e-store.
Can you advise me what to do in more details?
Sorry, I'm a new zenner and a kind of lost.

    Thanks heap for your help.

It really is very simple. Create an HTML page with your Flash video planted on the page and upload the page, SWF and FLV into the downloads directory. Set the cart for downloads and reference the HTML page for the customer to view (download) and set how long they can view it once they order it. What happens is once they order they are redirected to the HTML page and the video should play.

So your customer would only view the video, not buy it? and if they are to buy it how did you set up the video product type?
