    Default Checkout problem with large order

    Hi all,

    Has anyone experienced a problem when a customer tries to checkout with a very large order (say 100 products or so)? In testing this, I had no problem adding to the cart even at a large size and also had no problems viewing, editing, etc. cart items. But as soon as I try to log in or checkout (once logged in) it seems as though the page times out. (I'm assuming it is timing out - I just get a blank page.)

    Is there any remedy for this?

    Which version of Zen Cart are you using? Are you getting a message from your browser saying that it has timed out?

    Sorry, I should have said I am fully upgraded to v.1.3.8a.

    There is no message in the browser, just a blank screen. It's the same sort of blank screen you get when you have a php error somewhere. Although I did not alter this file at all and it works fine for smaller orders. I'm trying to whittle down my test order little by little to see at what point the error does not occur.

    I slowly reduced the number of items in the cart and retried until there was no error. 45 products seemed to be around the tipping point.

    Where earlier version of Zen Cart gave visitor-visible warnings and errors, 1.3.8 automatically suppresses them. But there's a debug facility that can reveal them referred to in this FAQ Entry.
