Default Adding HTML link inside email body

I would like to add an html link in the body of an email that I write in admin/tools/send a email. When I add a link either using the wyswyg editor or code it directly, it goes in ok, but the resulting link when recieved shows the link I put in appended to the shopping cart address. I know there is an email template tag $email_store_url that I think is generating the extra code. How do I disable that function so that what I want for a link is what is sent with the email?

Default Re: Adding HTML link inside email body

I found from other posts that the add a link button in the email html editor does not function properly, when using foxfire and that it does work when using IE. I tried that and links are formed correctly using IE. This is a workaround, not a fix, but I can now add links when I need
