cannot upload images

im getting this error when I try to upload a product to the website, the product uploads... just not the image with it.

According to the messages, your server is not set up to allow uploading images to your /zen-cart/images folder. ie: "Permission denied" means ... permission was denied.

If you recall during installation, the /images/ folder needs to be marked as writable. Yours evidently is not.

Ok, I gave full permissions to 3 different users to both the images directory and to the admin directory, but it still doesn't seem to work. Getting the same error message.

How to I check what user account zen-cart uses to upload pictures and files? So I know what user I have to give access to.

Set the folder permissions to 777 or 775

when i try to set permissions through dreamweaver it doesn't work... so I have to do it through my web hosts control panel in the site.

Isn't there a ftp user that the zencart uses... and some way to figure out what the name is?

No...FTP is controlled through your hosting account and usually your hosting account user name & pass

I uploaded several new images and then tried to change an image on one and now I can't upload any new images.

You can see here what I am talking about with the ballet slippers. I was adding other new products but now it won't work. I did nothing different.
