Attribute Sort Order not responding

There are Sort Orders available on both the Option Names and on the Option Values ...

I'm on 1.3.8 and none of the suggestions for sort order of attributes in this thread are helping.

Mine are sorting according to the most recently added or changed attribute no matter what I try.

Any other ideas?

After you made the Attributes on the Attributes Controller, did you try to hit the Update Sort Order so that they are updated to the Default Sort Orders?

Yes. I have tried everything listed in this thread.

What is your setting for the Configuration ... Product Info ...

Products Info - Product Option Value of Attributes Sort Order
Sort order of Product Option Values of Attributes for Products Info
0= Sort Order, Price
1= Sort Order, Option Value Name

I've actually tried both of those settings and used the feature to reapply the default sort order after each and no effect (at all really).
