Coupons for attributes?

Okay,

I want to setup a product.

This product would have a cost of $0, and be priced by Attributes.

For the attributes, I want to have the following (only an example):
PDF - $5
Soft Cover Book - $10
Hard Cover Book - $20
Limited Edition Book - $30

These attributes would be using the same Option Name, but each would be a separate Option Value under that specific name.

I know that the Coupon Restrictions allows me to allow or deny based on category and/or on product.

Is there a way to have it allow or deny based on Option Name/Option Value?

This would be EXTREMELY useful to me.

Does anybody know how to make it work like this or know of an add-on or module that will allow for this?

Discount Coupons are based on Product or Category restrictions ... they do not go down to the Attribute level ...

You would be better off making each book type its own Product and then adding something like Cross Sell or XSell as a method to tie the various media types together ...

This would allow for separate stock tracking, application of Coupons, Sales, Discounts etc.
