If you are using:
Minimum: 1
Maximum: 0
Units: 1
Those are the defaults ...
When using Attributes and you want to say Minimum 3 you can indicate if the 3 can be a Mix of Attributes or 3 of the same definition ...
Same holds true with Maximum and Units ...

Does anyone know of a clever way to dynamically set these based on a product attribute? For example, I'm selling a dozen cookies (1 unit), which usually comes in a box (first attribute). If someone wants a cookie jar (alternative attribute to box), they must order in increments of TWO dozen cookies - in other words "Units" should be "2".
I am having a problem with the Product Qty Min and the unit mix. I have set a min of 5 and the mix to yes as I want our customers to mix with the either size of t-shirt or color. But for some reason it works great on my test site but not on my live site. I have checked the database and the files and everything is the same I even ftp the entire test site file to the live site and still it is isn't working.
The problem is at the shopping cart. It doesn't seem to be adding the attributes quantities correctly. I have attached some screen shots to show the problem. I just can't work out the problem.
Since this is our wholesale site we need to have minimum quantities as the discounts are for bulk orders not just for one offs.
It looks like you are trying to use the Minimim/Maximum/Units that is designed for 1 Product and utilize it across multiple Products ...
How many products_id numbers are involved here?
There is an add-on that may be able to handle this ...

It is only for one product-id that has attributes (Size and color). So I am not trying to use this with multiple products just a single product. As you can see in my screen shots it is the exactly the same product just a variety of attribute choices, which is suppose to count altogether to work out if it meets the min.
Also the weird thing is it works just fine on my test site just not on my live site.
Hi there, first time logger onnerer and net no-hoper, but i try ;)
I am currently trying to set up to sell mixed bags of different shirts at the same rate as the discount for multiples of the same shirt... what is this wondrous add-on of which you speak? Or is there another way through it? 7 different id numbers in the one category can all be mixed and matched in a qty of 10...
and thanks for the previous tip btw.. works a treat!
