Hi On the products page i would like to remove the Filter by results option.
Is this possible

There is a setting to turn that off ... and in v1.3.8 it even works right ...
Peek in the Configuration ... Product Listing ...
Include Product Listing Alpha Sorter Dropdown
Do you want to include an Alpha Filter dropdown on the Product Listing?
