Problem Turning Off Category Tabs

I tried to turn off the category links that go across the top of my store. I followed the steps listed at this tutorial: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=283

The problem is that the category tabs won't disappear! What should I do?

I use Firefox. I can't find any place to flush the cache. I did refresh though.

What do you mean? I can login fine.

meant admin > config > layout settings > cat tabs > setting

It is set to "Hide Categories Tabs".

There are not known issues with the template you are using so this should be resopnding to the admin setting but I see that they are still there.
