I am interested in the following scenario and not sure if it is possible:
I sell vinyl decals. When a use comes to purchase a decal, he clicks on his choice. It brings person to page to see more information about the product. There would be 2 drop downs. The first is going to be the size of the decal. Not concerned about that one. The second choice is vinyl color. With that drop down, I would like to have the color of the vinyl appear because it will make a big difference to a buyer. For instance, people want to see a cherry red vs. tomato red. What I would like to see but not sure if possible would be that when a person chooses say purple only the purple is displayed so they can see exactly what they are getting.
I did try the following to solve the problem. I set Option names: Red, Cherry Red, Maroon Red, etc etc for 10 different colors. I then attached values to those names along with a jpeg image of the color. I was proud of myself at that point. The problem became when I tried to share these attributes with another product or category. That appeared to work fine with the values being part of the drop down BUT the picture that I attached to the particular value did not appear in the new category/product.
Is this even possible to do. I am trying to migrate from litecommerce to zencart because I'm kinda fed up with the support staff who just keep charging for any assistance with their buggy program.
Thanks in advance.
Mike
