How to create a new page?

I want to create a new page at say ...

http://www.example.com/catalog/index...=info_sendgift

where "info_sendgift" is my new page that is similar to the existing "info_shopping_cart"

So I created new folder "info_sendgift" in the "template_default" folder as well as in my override template folder. Inside these folder I have the "tpl_main_page.php" file.

But when I try it, the system is giving me the "page not found" page instead -- almost as if the system is not aware of my new page.

What step am I missing to create a new page analogous to the "info_shipping_cart" page?

That meta-module didn't work for me. Any suggestions? I went to the wiki and made sure it added the appropriate files. The page doesn't appear. Should I activate a sidebox or something?

Anyway, I don't even see it on the define page status link. You think it doesn't work with the latest revision of ZC? Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, after adding an SQL entry, I now see it in the "define page status". But it doesn't do anything. Is there another entry I need to make in order to show on my site?

Can someone help please?

It's been my experience that if you don't get replies to your questions, it's usually because you haven't asked the question properly, or haven't included enough information.

"It doesn't do anything" or "It doesn't work" doesn't give us much to work with.

A link to the page you created might give somebody a place to start.

Also, when someone posts that he "followed these instructions and it didn't work", when those instructions seem to work for everyone else, I assume he didn't follow the instructions. Might want to try those again.

Shouldn't have to, no.

If you mean SQL insert, I would think that whatever is supplied with the mod should be good.

You might want to read through this thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81483 It does mention that the mod works with the current version.
