Linked Product Breadcrumb issue/question

Hi all - in doing a search I found this post referring to a fix in 1.3.8 that accurately reflects the proper breadcumb for linked products. For example, if I have Product1 linked in Category1 and Category2, when you are in Category2 the breadcrumb will reflect Category2 even though the product was originally created in Category1.

But, I'm running 1.3.8a and it is not reflecting this fix. When I click on Product1 within Category2, the breadcrumb is showing Category1 (but the URL is reflecting the correct Category2).

Is there a setting that I'm missing?

I get the same problem. breadcrumbs are still not working correctly in 1.38a for linked products.

I can't find out where to make them link. Can you give me this info?
