Seamless/Integrated Checkout/Credit Card Processing

Greetings,
I'm looking to take things to the next logical level and incorporate integrated cc processing into our site. This may have been asked before and I apologize if it has, but I'm curious as to what you guys use to do this? I've seen number of discussions on LinkPoint, YourPay, Authorize.net, etc in this forum but am not sure how it applies to me and our situation.

To date, we've been using PayPal and Google Checkout, but want to raise the bar a notch with a seamless payment and checkout process. For those that might suggest web site payments pro, we don't want all of our eggs in the PayPal basket (vis a vis web site payments pro) due to the stories we've read online and someone we personally know that had issues with them similar to those horror stories.

So, basically, our ideal scenario is to set-up a merchant services account through our bank which is SunTrust. They use FirstData as their processor. Does any of this make sense with respect to how I would be able to use a SunTrust/FirstData combo in conjunction with any of the ZenCart payment modules?

You would need to have a FirstData payment module installed in your Zen Cart. I don't know if one has been developed yet (do a search for them and see); if not, you will have to have someone write it for you or do it yourself.

Authorize.net and Linkpoint are examples of these payment modules.

Linkpoint is a first data company so you may want to take al look at that one,
Best to contact the bank and findout if they use linkpoint as a gateway

Thanks for the replies. I will probably look into LinkPoint then, and if there is any way to achieve some synergies with the Suntrust/FirstData relationship, then all the better.

What I was going for is faster access to the cash. Suntrust says that using their merchant solutions with FirstData gets the funds into my account within 1 business day. Even if the type of synergy I'm looking for can't be achieved with LinkPoint/FirstData/Suntrust, 48-72 hours is not as bad as I thought it might be.

Once again best to contact your bank and ask what gateway their processor uses,

IF its a first data then its a safe bet that they use linkpoint but beter to ask to make sure
