Basic Description of EasyPopulate database fields?

Obviously most of the fields are self-explanatory, but

• What do the v_specials_price, v_specials_dates etc mean? is avail and expires the dates that the specials price is valid for?

• Are the v_categories_name_X fields to let you put one item in more than one category at once?

• What goes in v_status?

For some reason the lines in my current Full-EP2008Feb06-1010.txt file have a blank line inserted between each. When did this happen?!
