    Default Attribute Photo Layout Problems

I have just started adding products in. Everything was going fine until I added attributes to the system. The attributes photos have begun to overlap on each other. I have checked the actual site with both Firefox 2.0.0.11 and IE 7.0.5730.11. (The kicker is that when I click on preview in the attribute manager...all looks PERFECT). Both are having my attributes images overlapping one another like there is not enough room for them. I cut down the number of attributes per row and still the same problem.

    http://sportplax.com/index.php?main_...&products_id=3

I added improved attribute to help with adding in attributes (major pain) and IH 2 to help with the photos on the site.

    Any Help would be appreciated.

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

sorry I can't help with what you're asking, but HOW did you get images with your attributes?I've been staring at my monitor far too long..lol.. and haven't figured that out yet.

I did get the site customized, just haven't figured those options yet

    Hello,

Not sure if you meant where did I get them or how did I get them on where they are at...so I'll answer both.

I got the images from my distributor out of Chicago. They offer all Hi-Res Images as long as you're a vendor.

Now on to How I got them on the page:

Well it has been a HUGE learning experience because this is my first time using Zen Cart although I am going quite fond of it as I use it more. I first purchased the book that is offered on the site in ebook format ($29.95)...AWESOME RESOURCE!!...I only wish I got a portion for promoting it!!

Anyway back to original question...When you are inside Attribute Controller, you can define many aspects of the attributes including providing pictures for each attribute. It gets lost at the bottom. One thing that I think you might want to add to your system is "Improved Attribute Handler"....Adding Attributes can be very confusing when you start off especially if you have a lot because you have to choose the Option Name, then Option Value (which are in no order)...Improved Attribute fixes that issue and only give the Values attached to each Option Name.

Anyway, part you are looking for is called "Attributes Image Swatch:" which is right at the bottom of the "Adding New Attributes" section. It has a "Browse" Button which can pull a photo from your hard drive....VOILA..U have attribute pictures!!!

    Any other questions...Let me know!

    Okay now I'm really confused....

I just looked at the site www.sportplax.com (this time on a friends computer)and now the attributes have decided to mess with my mind once again.

Now the setups appear to be not overlapping anymore...They are just butted up against one another....BUT...Board colors are now showing 3 in the first row, 1 in the second, 3 in the third and 1 in the fourth....

Is this a browser issue....Is my computer playing tricks on me....or do I need to reload some aspect of zencart to make this all pretty again??

I would go into a photo editing software and make 1 image for each row. I'd say that would be the simplest solution to your problem.

I can't agree with the one photo per line suggestion because my site has many, many photo images to choose from! The problem is that this question is exactly my question as well which i was just about to post when I checked for new posts.

Here's an example of my squished images:
    http://butterflypressink.com/zencart...&products_id=4

    1. Is there an image size that works well for swatches?
    2. Is there a place to define attribute image size? it's not with the other images under Config>Images.

I would also really appreciate any help with this! Thanks!

It doesn't look like this question from a couple years ago was ever answered. How do I define attribute image sizes? They ######## up against each other on the product page because the system thinks they should be 100px wide, when I'm using 120 wide.

Config > Images shows image sizes for everything except attributes.
