B4 or Afta ?? When do I install the multi-site module?

I just mucked up my original installation of Zen Cart while trying to update to multisite (I tried following the instructions but, like a true blue Ozzie, I finished up with no sidebars no header and only the centre section which had now become full page...).

So I figured I'll start from fresh.
I've done a complete removal and re-install (using fantastico).

Now...if I'm going to make a multisite install, should I run the multisite module before or after I have configured all the settings? and what should I do next from here..? but please be gentle, remember I'm a newbie...it takes a while to sink in

So I figured I'll start from fresh.
I've done a complete removal and re-install (using fantastico).

First download the Zen Cart distribution and manually install it - Fantastico leaves a bit to be desired and you do not know all the details that you should.

The instructions for installing any add-on are usually in a file called something like "Read Me" and included in the download.
