Default Large files downloads give 500 Internal Server Error

Hello everyone. I've had my ZenCart working for a while now, so I'm guessing this isn't a problem the ZenCart's causing, but I really don't know where to turn. The hosting site support tells me it's something with the script.

    So, here's the problem:

I have many digital downloads on the site. I just noticed that the new one I put up wasn't working, so I decided to figure it out. It's an mp3 file, maybe 4 mb. So, I switched the downloads from redirect to just standard linking. And, it worked again!

I'm not happy about it, though, as it *should* work. I saw some information about changing the .htacess file, but it wasn't very specific.

Then, after that problem was fixed, I noticed that some of the other downloads don't work now.

I tried downloading EVERYTHING at the store and noticed this: all the small file downloads work and all the large file downloads don't! I just get that 500 Internal Server Error.

Now, if anyone wants to check this out first-hand, you can go to the store page: http://fusco-moore.com/store. Then, you can "order" "Jamnation 1" from there. It's free, so why not, right? Then, you can try to download one of the free mp3s, too. You'll see- the single mp3 will download and the album "Jamnation 1" won't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated- thank you in advance!

    ~Jim

Check the apache server log file, see exactly what the error is.
If you dont know where to find the log file, contact your host.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Well, two tech support calls later, and apparently my problem is being routed to the "higher-ups". I found the logs folder on my web server and looked through every document I could find. I couldn't find any error log, though.

Here's a list of the files I have in my logs folder (where the hosting company told me the logs would be):

    access.log.07.1
    ftp.log
    info.py
    info.pl
    info.php
    access.log.06.gz
    traffic.db
    access.log.current

I couldn't make heads or tails of the content in these log files, and I still haven't found an "error" log. I'll write again tomorrow after the hosting company applies their "fix".

Okay, so no help from the web server. But, I have found some other interesting things:

    1. The .htaccess file seems to have something to do with it. I don't know if it's blocking the large downloads or what.

    2. Now, when I'm on my webspace and go to a site that doesn't exist, I get that 500 Internal Server Error instead of the normal 404 Not Found.

Anyone else have this problem before!

Yes something similar since I change on Admin--> My Store --> Admin Set max_execution_time for processes

why> I did not know what my daughter was doing on her site we are building to pay her college off. So I modified that parameter, the I realized she was uploding pictures the smallest one was 6.5 Mb and the average 11MB !!!!!

But that solved the problem. I think I changed to 2-5 min or something like that, don;t remember
