Reward Point Mod beta now available

I'm about to release what I hope to be the final beta (full featured). In addition to what is already in place, I've added the following:

Global and group level redeem rates.
Customer Reward Point maintenance including award of further points
Reward point sidebox display config item.
Sunrise period config item
Simple or Advanced order status to point award tracking

Anyone any pressing items that needs to go into the final release??

Very nice andrew Those are great features you have added. I haven't found any other problems and I went live with my site. So far so good. I found work around for the sale items getting reward points based on base price, I just adjusted the point ratio for those items so it comes out correctly. It works until you get your final released.

It's not really a fix, it's more like a work around. All I did was change the point ratio on the items that have a reduced price. If you have lots of Items I guess it could be a pain, but it works until Andy releases the next version. I think he fixed it?

Just have to remember to put them back if the item goes back to regular price

The latest version in the downloads works on 1.3.8a. That is what I'm running. There are one or two fixes as zip files in the threads that aren't in the version available in the Downloads yet so you may want to grab those too.

The work around is as simple as changing the point ratio given for Items you have on sale. Mine is set for regular price at 1 point for every dollar spent. I have a clearance category where everything is 50% off. I adjusted the point ration for that category to .5 to so they get half the points. You can change the ratio's globally, by category, or by product. It works for me.

It has some limitations as it will give points to items they may give for free like if you give a buy one and get one free. Also if you have a buy one and get the second at a certain percentage off it will give full points to that second item. Next next version he uploads will have fixed these issues.

I may also have found a conflict with another contribution. I'm looking into it to make sure I didn't mess something up before I post anything.

Final(ly) beta 1.03a Everything going okay this should be the version that I will go to Full Release with. Make sure you read the Readme.txt file. I'm going to attach it here rather than upload it as an official release so can everyone give it a good testing and give me some feedback, thanks.

Just a note- there's now order.php mods for both 1.3.7 and 1.3.8. I'm thinking of ways to get around changing a core file- Currently the two ideas I have are:

1. Use MySQL triggers to do the same job. However this would mean anyone who wanted to use the mod would need MySQL v5.0.2 or greater.

2. Handle the same function when the user logs in- This means that there will be a chance that the points will get "out of sync". Admin will still show points pending until the customer logs in.

Otherwise I think I'll just let it slide until v1.4 appears as it's possible that Notifiers will be added to Admin then.

Nice work on the mod andy! I installed it locally on a fresh copy of Zen and tested all the aspects I could.

The install was easy enough since it was just upload it all. I did come across a warning when I ran the SQ statement. I forgot to write down what it was, but it had to do with the "IGNORE" statement you used. It came back and said it couldn't find the "IGNORE" table so it was going to disregard it. It seems to work anyway.

During testing I found that the globally set Redeem ration did not work for me. It displayed the correct amount of points, but the value showed $0.00. I had global redeem value set to .05. The test account had 20 points so it should have showed a $1.00 value. I was only about to get it to work after I created a Redeem group and placed the test account into it. After that it displayed properly. Do you have to create a group and place a customer into it for this to work or is this a bug?

It looks like the points earned are still tied to the product and not to the total after discounts. Is this correct?

Other than what I mentioned it seems to work fine.

I have another test account setup locally that mimics my live site that I use for testing before I make changes to the live. The mod no longer works as it's not placing the points into the database, either pending or earned. I'm sure it's from a compatibility issue with another mod. Going to work on that now and if I figure out which one I will make a post so everyone else knows which mod.
