Reward Point Mod beta now available

Thanks for this job.
To my point of view, this module is very important and should be included in the core version of zen-cart ( art of e-commerce! ).
I think that the points should be in pending mode only if the payment is pending too (ie check / cod...).
But if the customer paid with credit card, the points should be automatically validated.
Our customers sometimes place two consecutive orders with a different delivery address (usually for gifts).

So the idea is :
- points are immediately earned for immediate payments (visa etc...).
- points are pending for other payment methods (check etc...)

For current method, pending points that are earned after status change, there should be a checkbox that allows the points to be earned or not.

I actually would prefer to have the option to set (immediate, Delivery,days (input up to 31days manually). Maybe give same option for each payment method. This way the admin can dial in their own comfort level, to help combat ID fraud.

Agreed- I think it should be settable by the admin. We did discuss it earlier and the point was made that providing instant Reward Points could be open to fraud. Currently the mod uses the Order Status to dictate when the points are transferred between Pending and Earned. I've already coded in the Sunrise Period update (release soon, I promise).

However, I do believe there is merit in also using the Method of Payment to determine the Status of the reward points on the current order. I'll have a look at this.

Make a back up first before you install. Also review all the theards here. There might be a fix or two in them that hasn't made it into the download yet.

Thanks for that. I am going to have a go at installing. Have no choice but to the live store though so I hope thats not going to be a prob. I know where to come if I have any questions though
