Question, please advise....

Hello, I have a question. Ive been running a Miva4 site now for years and we are in the process of opening up another store with miva 5. After looking over things, and the cost to get modules we are looking at the possibility to use other options.

Has anyone here, came from a Miva platform to zencart....? How was it, was it an easy transition, did it work well for you.

Our new site, which the building process we halted at this point due to looking at this cart. Our cc processor for this new store , we allready signed up with and that is cybersource, we even have miva 5 set up also, yet I dont want to begin to buy modules for it and get to a point of no return of Zencart would work for us also.

Anyways, if anyone could shed any light on this i would appreciate it... im just trying to save some, yet not at the expense of having serious issues down the line.

I hope my response does not come too late in your selection process.
I have not had first hand installation or production experience with Miva but I can certainly provide advices on the CyberSource payment gateway when used with the Zen Cart (ZC) application.

So far, I have installed the CyberSource Payment Module on 5 different ZC stores. ZC store owners have all provided very positive feedback on the use of the CyberSource Payment Module.

I have published a contribution (free) titled “CyberSource Payment Module Implementation Guidelines” which should be of help if you decide to select and implement the ZC store application.

It is probably appropriate to bring to your attention the ZC Template feature providing an easy way to modify the look of the standard ZC release. With the increased number of ZC users and ZC contributors, your choice of Templates (a thin skin changing the look of the standard ZC) is improving everyday. One of the most popular Template is Apple Zen (free contribution you can download from the ZC Downloads area under Template Packages).
