I need help defining the catalog structure for a site selling an artist's prints (available small/inexpensive and large/archival/more expensive) issued in series of several different images (which are available individually but we generally want to display together as a series in multi-product listings, for wholesale buyers and retail upselling) and which are also available in some cases on other types of products, e.g., t-shirts, greeting cards (mostly available wholesale both individually and sometimes as boxed sets of an entire series), etc.

I want to have listings of all prints (and each of the other product types) grouped by the series, ideally with a series-specific product shot displayed next to each grouping.

On an individual product listing, I want to have links to other products that use the same image.

How do I set up the catalog? Series categories / Image subcategories / Print product (plus sometimes t-shirt product or greeting card product) along with parallel structure of Product type categories / series subcategories / individual products?

Or is there a better way to accomplish this with tagging or Product types or ...?
