Default SSL for ZenCart running on AddOn Domain - Suggestions?

    Hi everyone,

Well, way back five months ago, if I'd known then, I would've just used my existing domain when signing up with HostMonster. However, I didn't and one of my AddOn domains ended up being my main domain.

Of course, I'd like to get an SSL Cert so I can use Authorize.net AIM, but it will throw a site mismatch error every time it gets loaded since the domain wouldn't match. Hostmonster will reconfigure, but it will wipe out everything.

    Ideas anyone?

I'm running 1.3.8a via a Fantastico install and (finally) have Authorize.net SIM up and running (check those lengths of the MD5 hash codes!), so obviously I'm not what you would call "proficient" with this kind of stuff.

Also, is there any difference between the $45/year cert offered by HostMonster and the $15/year GoDaddy cert?

    Thanks in advance!

They should be able to change the account domain name...but then you need to move things around. Backup everything before any of this. They are a decent mass marketed provider

$30 per year- I do not favor the GD cert for a professional look but this is personal. There are other certs for similar low annual rates like Rapid SSL

Will HM install a 3rd party cert for no fee?

Aslo there is no reason to change the Main site,
you can install the cert on the add-on domain

just create the CSR like normal

Damn, Google is fast! This thread is now the first hit for "ssl add-on domain".

From what I've found, it looks like I'm going to have to change the domain around or stick with SIM. They will only install it for the main domain.

What do I need to do to export the current configuration and database, then import it to the new install?
