PP Express over IPN?

if one has Paypal Express enabled, is there any use to have the PP IPN enabled as well?

That was my question also... I saw them both there in my payment modules. I am trying to decide why would somebody prefer one over the other.

Extolling the virtues of one PayPal method over the other is best done by them - They have very good descriptions and comparisons on their site.
