    Paypal has 3 variations
    Paypal IPN
    Paypal express
    Paypal Pro

All are intergrated with zen 1.3.8a and work perfect
so there is no need to add buttons
just add your categories and products and ready to go

Marcelo63 is correct. Go into your admin under modules->payment and set up PayPal. You may have to change some settings in your PayPal account as well.

I have added the PayPal IPN module to my Zen Cart. After I make a purchase through non-PayPal I get (as a consummer) an e-mail from them confirming the purchase & as the store owner (different e-mail address) I get the e-mail stating money was deposited in my account. However I cannot see the orders in the admin of the store and no actitivity in the 'customer' PayPal IPN. I know that the e-mails are identical in zen & PayPal, I know the ports 80 & 443 are open. But I must be missing a step since I can't see any orders.

Also, how do I send an itemized order to PayPal from the shopping cart instead of just sending a dollar total. I have read all that I can find and am stuck.

    Thanks for any help.

I just ran the curltest.php & the ipncheck.php & both came back fine.

You have the auto-return configured on your PayPal account?

No, I don't have auto return configured. Should I give that a try? I know you need to incorporate some legal Paypal text if you're going to do that & I wasn't sure how to do that. I am new to zen cart.
