Default Creating a Category as an Image

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to Zen Cart and am using version 1.3.8. PHP version is 4.1. The install went without a problem on my site.

I bought this template (http://osc3.template-help.com/zencart_21146/index.php) for my website www.thebathrobe.com. Do you see how on the original template there's a large image for a category?

I'd like to do the same thing but I'm stumped. I tried installing a blank box but that didn't work. I've searched all over various forums and can't seem to figure out how to do it.

I may not have the terms correct here and that might be why I've had such trouble. In any case, does anyone know the answer to this? I really would appreciate any help.

    Thank you in advance,

    Debbie
PS: The site is still in edits. So some images may not appear and I'm still redesigning the logo.

If you are referring to the image in the centre of a girl pushing the curtain aside... this is a BANNER and is managed under the TOOLS menu.

A banner?! Ok, I appreciate having a name for it now. Thank you, Fairestcape. I hated having to call it 'image'.

Now, I've added my image as a banner and set banners to display but it's still not coming up. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you again for any help.

Additional Information: I went into my control panel and activated banner_box.php and banner_box2.php but nothing has happened. I'm very confused as to what I'm doing wrong.

My settings for both of these boxes are as follows:

    left/right column status:
    on

    location:
    left

    Left/Right Column Sort Order:
    0

    Single Column Sort Order:
    0

    Single Column Status:
    on

Should I change the number from zero to something else in the sort order? I tried changing it to 12 in both boxes but that didn't seem to work. So I'm back at square one.

Any ideas on what I've screwed up? I really appreciate any help.

    Debbie

    go to
    Configuration > Layout Setting ..

    look for

Banner Display Groups - Header Position 3

    set to Wide-Banners
wide banners is a group name which you need to use in banner manager when you create your banner .
once done , make sure your banner is active , tools > Banner manager .. there make sure you have green icon for the banner .. if is red , just click on it to activate ..

I've got it up! It's a pretty basic picture but it is up! My problem was I didn't put the image in the Wide-Banners group so the banner display didn't know where to find the image. How silly of me!

Anyway, it's all worked out now! Thank you both for all your help.
