Default Can pics be added to drop down attributes?

Let me set up this scenario. I'm setting up a candle e-commerce website.

There are 75 fragrances to choose from in the drop down menu. Candles look differently according to what fragrance they are.
I need to add pictures to each attribute(fragrance) so that when a customer clicks on a particular frangrance the picture changes to represent what the candle will look like in that fragrance. I went to attributes image swatch and inserted a pic for a fragrance and tried the website but the pic did not change from the default pic I have installed for that product.

What do I need to do to have the image change when a customer clicks a particular fragrance(attribute)?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I can't believe I'm actually able to answer a question -- I'm a rank newbie too. But when looking for something else (trying to get rid of the "Your Sales Message" and the "You have successfully installed" messages), I found an "Enable Attribute Images" option under Admin - Configuration - Attribute Settings. I have NO idea how it works but I'd guess turning it on would be a good first step. I haven't tried it because I haven't even started figuring out attributes at all.

I couldn't resist, I just had to try this. So I set up a couple of pillar candle scents. It's a bit of a pain: you have to set up the "Scents" option name under Admin - Catalog - Option Name Manager, then enter each individual scent under Admin - Catalog - Option Value Manager. Then you have to go to Admin - Catalog - Attributes Controller to add each value individually to the product, and as you add the value, you can fill in the "Attributes Image Swatch:" box before inserting. Also, ZenCart doesn't auto-resize the attribute images like it does for products, I'll definitely need to create thumbnails for mine. Here's the page in my store if you want to see:
