Same here. For me it happened shortly after a server switch, maybe coincidentally.
I haven't changed or added anything and I'm looking into what changed with the new server. I think it was a new version of Linux (only). Here's the current info: Server OS: Linux 2.6.24.5-xeon-aufs20081006-grsec PHP Version: 4.4.9 (Zend: 1.3.0) Database: MySQL 5.0.67-log
True too that the records seem to populate correctly but it bumps me out of Admin with the error message.
More annoying than anything else given that the records populate but still bothersome.
Just use the remove URL:
YOUR_ADMIN/easypopulate.php?langer=remove
You should then be prompted to configure it from the Admin-Tools-Easy Populate Screen. If not then use the install URL:
YOUR_ADMIN/easypopulate.php?langer=install.
Too easy for me to think of initially, give it a try.
I have installed EP v1.2.5.5. Configurationl went well but when I try to upload or download it keeps taking me back to my admin login. I have uninstalled config and reinstalled it and still does the same. Does Anyone have any ideas, It would be appreciated. Yes the temp folder is in the right spot..
You need to use version 1.2.5.4 available from modhole see main easypop. thread for links to that site.
Versions in the download section of Zencart website seem to be buggy.
Hi
I have the latest version of EP and every time I try to download files I get
Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later
Has anyone got a cure for this? I have seen on other forums that the problem is from the server end - is this right. If so does this mean I have to find a new host to cure this and if so who would you recommend?
Well, my host suggested, but didn't really confirm:
"..whenever your sites use too many resources our process
watcher will kill it...."
They are super vague generally with this kind of stuff and even go so far as to say they can't tell me why it happens and, essentially, that I should know what's going on with my site (ridiculous these days, everyone has a site these days and with one click loads, or even the simple learning of how to load Zen, it doesn't mean you’re a master of all things Web! Cheap or not, your paying for SOME service.).
I think with some hosts it may be a way to get you to pay for higher levels of service by setting the kill super low on shared servers.
I have two Zens and the other Zen easy populate works without error. The other site is smaller in terms of products but the process should be the same and it's not a resource hog as far as I know.
It still happens on the "larger" (relative, it's small too) and I gave up trying to figure it out and I just stop the browser during EP since the products do get uploaded quickly even though EP appears to keep running.
I know, no real help but others might be in the same scenario and/or not realize that products do populate.
It also suggests that it is on the server end since I changed nothing from being error free to suddenly getting 500 errors.
