Default Zen Cart and Flash CS3

It's my first time to build an online store, I'm new to Zen Cart and completely a noob at PHP. I've already configured my Zen cart based on the different turtorials found here and wiki. I've already created my site with Flash CS3 and want to test my shopping cart (Zen Cart), but don't know how to do so. Could anyone give me a sample code (action script) for my site's Add to Cart button? I'm completely lost. Thanks in Advance!

Zen Cart doesn't work that way. The program is meant to be your whole site not just the backend.

You will need to read on implementing flash into zencart.

PHP and swf can get nasty.

As kim said zen is one for all and to customize the way you are wanting is not so easy.

thanks for the input guys. kim was right that I was only planning to use Zen Cart for just my backend, (just the shopping cart). If Zen Cart is already a whole program, which among the pages (the file name) is the actual shopping cart? I could try to use an action script to call that page and parse data on it. Lets see if it would work.

Being php or server sise includes which you might be more familiar with...

Pages do not actually exist as you are thinking - they are constructed from many pieces and based upon the request assembled at the server - then sent to the requester.

@kobra: yup, lately I've noticed that as I was browsing through the extracted Zen Cart files in my PC. I think the best solution for my problem is to have my "Add To Cart" button on my Flash site create a customized script that will assemble the page (using the database that Zen Cart created) that I wanted. However, this is paramount as I dont have any background in PHP.

If you really want to have and add to cart button maybe the easiest way is to create a button using html and making a hyperlink to the zen cart page for that product can get time consuming though like the other guys said zen is really front end shopping cart

    nmeuvdast8,

Re-read post #2 by Kim - kinda says it all - you will not be happy attempting what you are attempting due to sessions security checks
