Gift Certificate Redemption Code include in Confiramtion Email... how?

Thought it was more complicated. I did that and also hid the redemption code link in the sidebox. Seems that link is only to find if a code is valid - not sure of its purpose.

The other thing I'm wondering: After testing, I went back to "coupon admin" and I see the coupons listed as still being active even though I used the coupons (I had them set for one time only). I also updated the order as delivered.

Shouldn't the coupon listing indicate the coupon was used?

nick - there are two one time option areas. one for the customer (you set how many times they can use it), and one for the coupon itself (after used X number of times, it should no longer be available). that what you needed?

That's what I thought. I set them both to "1."

Does anyone know how to tell if a Discount Coupon has been used in admin. All of my coupons say they are active, even though they have been used. That is, they all show up when "active coupons" is selected in the "coupon admin." Also there is a "Y" in the status column for all of the coupons.

I originally set the coupon use number to "1" for both the customer AND the coupon itself; and I sent the product (marked "delivered" in the customer order section).

Not sure if this is related, but elsewhere on the forum I read there should be other options under the main "Gift Certificate/Coupons" menu. All I have in that dropdown menu is "coupon admin."

nick - if you were to try and use that coupon again (as a customer), it will say "This coupon can only be used 1 time." i don't know about how to tell if it's been used, other than the order contains the coupon code. i think the only way for it to show an N instead of Y in status is to delete it. i don't know about other options in the GC menu.
