    Default Download attribute help?

    Hi
I am completely new to this and am asking for help, following a weekend with the book trying to configure and set up downloadable products with lots of learnings!!

The book says you need to tell Zen Cart what the attribute used for download is (.mp3 or .wma etc) but nowhere does it say how you do this -or if it does I can't find it! and I could not find anywhere in my admin area where I could do this, or find anything on here either about it so am posting hoping someone will be able to tell me where and how 'I tell Zen Cart' what download formats I want to use.

I am sure it must be a simple thing - but as a complete beginner I have missed it!!!!

    Many thanks in anticipation!!

    Debbie

Thanks for that DrByte - I did already look at that and did not find the answer.

Maybe I was looking for something that was not there?
From the wroding in the book saying 'First you must tell Zen Cart what the attribute used for download' meant there was an area where I would insert or choose from file formats to allow. e.g .mp3, .wav, .wma etc.

Did I misunderstand the wording completely?
Is it that whatever file extension or format I choose to provide for download will work?

    THanks again for clarification.

I believe the mp3 or wav filetype was simply an example of option values.

You could use anything you like. You're not limited to certain filename extensions ... although it's generally wise to limit your files to commonly-known extensions.
