How can I remove item price from google title

Hi all, kinda newbie zen cart user, first time poster.

I've noticed that whenever I call up an item on my website in google, the price of the item is displayed on the title description; ie. if I view the source code the price of the item is part of the <title>. I'd prefer users to have to visit the page before seeing the prices. Is there anyway around this?

Hi Andrew

This is probably your Meta Tags Settings.

Using ADMIN>>>CATALOG>>>CATEGORIES/PRODUCTS, drill down to a list of products, showing all the coloured buttons on the right of the screen. The LAST button is the Meta Tags configurator.

Choose any product, and click that button.

See if the PRICE option is checked when the next screen loads.

If you have LOTS of products, and all of them have the PRICE option selected, it is possible to do a MASS UPDATE, either using Easypopulate Advanced, or through PHPMYADMIN with a SQL edit. (Only attempt the SQL edit if you are sure what you are doing!)

Otherwise, you'll have to change the settings product-by-product.

However, I found that if the Meta Tags are set product-by-product, then this over-rides the setting you suggest.

Point is... if you have not defined custom Meta Tags for each product, then the site-wide setting as Steve suggests will work.
