Duplicate option values in admin

Hi,

I don't whether this has anything to so with the additional language pack I have but every time I add an option value, its gets duplicated ! The site's in French so I only fill in the French bits, ignoring the English but even when I switch over to English the option values are duplicated there as well (although they're all empty as I haven't filled anything in in English. I've no problem with the option names nor the attributes, just the option values. Is this a bug or is there a switch somewhere I haven't activated/deactivtaed ?

Does nobody have an idea what this is ? Its a pain managing option values when they are all duplicated !

Petek:

using PHPmyAdmin to view your mySQL database tables, browse the products_options_values table looking for some of the duplicated id's. See if there are the same duplicated ids in the table as what you see in admin.

This will help you determine if there are actually duplicate option value records being created versus duplicate displays of the same record.

I have the same problem. I'm using ZC 1.3.8(a) ITA. I create an option and when I create value, I obtain two identical entry with some id. For example:

Create Option name COLOR
Create Option Value COLOR --> RED

I obtain:
ID OPTION NAME OPTION VALUE
3 COLOR RED
3 COLOR RED

TABLE products_options
products_options_id language_id products_options_name

3 2 Colore
3 1 Color

TABLE products_options_values
products_options_values_id language_id products_options_values_name products_options_values_sort_order

2 2 rosso
2 1 red

I've not looked in my database yet but its probably the same as your's. Sounds like a language-related bug to me. Help !

For DrByte,

I'm using ther latest version 1.3.8a. It was a clean install BUT the French language version was 1.3.7 which I *upgraded* using WinMerge. This is the only issue I have with it.

With ENG version there isn't this problem. I think that this is a double language related problem. Is possible that removing ENG language.....

Not me, when I switch to English, the option values are all empty (because I've not filled anything in in English) but they are all still duplicated.... I now have 5 pages of option values when I should only have 2 and a half...

Apart from that, I'm loving Zen Cart !

I'm speaking about the international version that have only eng language.

Great, that's fixed it ! However, this fix dates back to version 1.3.7 whereas I'm using 1.3.8a and the error is still there. I hope it will be fixed with the next release as I would rather limit the number of overrides.
