XP and downloads not working

I have products with downloadable files. THe procedure works correctly in Windows 2000 but in XP the file never gets to the save file page.

You can see the download button, but the file never downloads because the save screen never comes up just a white screen.

What do I need to do to get XP to work.

IT is definitely not working in XP and I don't know about Vista.

I can't image this is something I did with the setup because it works in 2000.

You have got bigger issues as when I set up an account I get this

Email Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [email protected]

Also trying to download I do not get a white screen but it states that the source file could not be read.

What would cause the SMTP to do this. Is this a server issue or what???

It worked at least the 16 or more times I tried it before and is now not working.

What do I need to reload.

I tried again to register in the shopping cart and here is what happened.

FIrst time I got the Email Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [email protected] during the registration process.

Second time I got a message that said I already had an account so I logged in and went through the process, but then it came up with the

Email Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [email protected]
What is causing this???

This is between your host SMTP credentials settings and that those are matched in the Zen Cart >admin > config > email settings

The SMTP thing is working now had to set to localhost. BUT the real issue is that I can not download the file that is NOT corrupted when using Opera in XP when it says it is corrupted and instead of trying to download it trys to open it.

You can not open a zip file it needs to download to your machine.

I am not using opera but Fire Fox and still receive that the file can not be read...
what is the name of this test file & path - permissions

Also US address and getting "Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time."

Try associating one of the included .zip files with a test product like test.zip that is part of the default install
