    Default Cannot locate database

I messed up my site trying to move files up one directory. I had a backup, but there are some items I had added to the catalog after I ran the backup. Where would I locate the database for the catalog so I can back it up?

I have checked through the directories and through my control panel. I do see a couple that say "mysite"_zc1 is that it?

Use phpMyAdmin to locate your mySQL database. You can also do the backup that way.

It's unlikely you messed up your database by moving Zen Cart files around. The database would be stored separately.

    Mary Ellen,

I wasn't really worried about the database by moving files, but wasn't sure if I broke any links. Plus when I last backed up the entire site I had added new products. But should I assume those products stayed in the database on the server with the added products even though I modified files?

I am still a newbie here...I almost messed up the entire site. Now I have a second set of copied files floating in the site. I still didn't accomplish what I set out to do.
I was trying to move files up one directory and remove the redirect. My connection kept breaking when I was moving files and not 100% sure if they all moved correctly, so I am currently still using the redirect.

Thanks for you assistance. Any info appreciated!

Are you working in your server's c-panel - or are you moving files by your FTP program?

Check the information in admin/includes/configure.php and includes/configure.php, although changing the directory shouldn't require changes to those files.
